Peccaviens - Winer 2024 Developer Update

Welcome to winter!

...it's already winter???

That's right! And we have a special suprise waiting for you...

A screenshot of the player's house in Peccaviens. There are boxes, a computer, a book, a painting, a game controller and a clock.

What? The all-new Peccaviens Section 1 demo has been released on Newgrounds, Gamejolt, AND itch.io? That's right! This updated demo contains a sneaky new prologue, new art and dialogue, a whole new "ending" and more secrets!​ You can even play it on your browser!

Sorry the new Peccaviens demo took so long to release! I was also working on the next section simulationsly (hopefully finishing soon!) as well as balancing school life. If I had more time, I would have released it earlier.​

Web port
Lets talk about the web port and some other ports.

You see, the web port might be great for Peccaviens, because it allows for a wider audience to play the games. Before, it was impossible to play on Chromebooks, and since the mac version was broken, people on macOS couldnt play the game. However now, they can!

When the actuall game releases however, there probably won't be a web port. Why? Well, I want to make the full game a paid release, so I can't put it on a website. Instead, you can get the game on whatever platform I release the game on (probably steam)

Don't worry, the full version shouldn't cost too much! It will probably be less than 10$ but don't quote me on that.

Progress


Note - Everything here is still subject to change!!!

As you can see, the prologue and section 1 are done! While it dosen't look like much progress has been made on Section 2, there is a good amount of progress done behind the scenes!

Future Plans
So, what's next? 

I want to try to finish the writing of the whole game before the end of 2024. I know what the ending and begining are going to be, I just need to work out how to get there. 

The next demo, which will contain Section 2, should be finished at around March. Or at least, thats what we're aiming for. There is a good chance that the game will come out in April or May instead.

Peccaviens - Creation

Introduction Peccaviens is an RPG created by me, Fahmi Uddin Shah! You traverse a strange world, where you meet strange students from the school you joined, and have to choose to SPARE or DEFEAT them.  You can play the beta right now at  https://realjop.itch.io/peccaviens ! Try the game out now! Gameplay In Peccaviens, there are battles that can occur randomly in set areas on the map. When in a battle, you have the option to use items to act, use an item, see you status, to spare or to flee.  Acting lets you interact with the enemy to try and spare it. When you act, you also have the option to "check", which lets you see the stats of the enemy. After acting, you will be sent to the battle board. This is a place where you can attack the enemy, and the enemy attacks you. Attacks can look like anything. They can look like honey droplets, apple cores.
