Summer 2026 Developer Update

Hey, it's still summer... right?

Whatever, whether it's summer or not, Peccaviens Development is back in full swing after our hiatus !

That means it's time for some catch-up! 


Update recap

Once development on Peccaviens restarted, we continued to work on Update 0.3.3 as stated in the previous article. We are also releasing Update 0.3.4! The changelogs can be found below!

Restructuring

Earlier, I had stated that Peccaviens had 7 sections. We are going to be changing this to 3 Acts instead. The way this will work is Sections 1 and 2 will now be called "Act 1". Sections 3,4,5 and 6 will now be Act 2 and Section 7 will be Act 3. Does that make sense? I hope it makes sense. 

This won't cause a major change of the current story, it's just a change to the name.

Act 2 development

Well, now it's pink.
This will make more sense in the future. But I don't want to explain it just yet.

Final thoughts

I hope that I can complete the majority of "Section 3" by this fall. But that will be quite challenging. Stay tuned till next time! Make sure to follow us on Bluesky or other websites!

Spring 2025 Developer Update

 Welcome to Spring! It really has been a while since we have made one of these developer updates! We've been hard at work on Peccaviens section 2! Let us take a look around at what we have been working on! Battle System So, the battle system has been getting some work done! Here is a side by side comparison of the bullet board of the old version and the new version. As you can see, we now have a new and improved battle timer! Instead of just the remaining time, you can now see a progress bar. This makes it easier to see how much time you have left. The battle system also has been going through some more changes. The hitboxes for all attacks have now been made to be the same size as their sprite. Now, instead of taking damage by just being next to the attack, you will take damage when you intersect with the attack. Winer 2024 Developer Update

Welcome to winter! ...it's already winter??? That's right! And we have a special suprise waiting for you... What? The all-new Peccaviens Section 1 demo has been released on Newgrounds , Gamejolt , AND   itch.io ? That's right!
